Description
Weathered garden chairs stacked against the wall. A flower pot filled with rain and cigarette butts sits on the uprooted pavement now swallowed by chervil. Echoes of a nearby party. Fingers digging up sorrel and dandelions. Freshly fallen snow on a forgotten trampoline. Black currants fall from bare branches, one by one.
Fragrance No. 101 captures the melancholy beauty of a Reykjavík backyard between seasons — the tail end of summer giving way to the first cold breath of autumn. Green, herbal, and quietly nostalgic, it is a scent that lingers like a memory you can’t quite place.
Now presented in Fischersund’s new handblown glass vessel — designed by co-founder Inga Sigurjónsson. Weighty, fire polished, and complete with a magnetic cap, each bottle is a unique object as much as it is a scent. Reflecting on her design, Inga wanted it left to interpretation:
“It is a rugged landscape, melting lava, rapids in a glacial river, or waves in the open sea. It is turbulence, rumbling sound waves, and a burst of energy. It is light reflected and light captured.”
