International orders shipping to destinations outside of New Zealand may incur additional fees and duties, as required by their country of destination. The customer is solely responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or additional costs that may be imposed upon these orders.
Before completing your online purchase, please contact your local customs office to determine if your order will incur fees.
If shipments are undeliverable due to refusal of any import fees as determined by your customs office, shipments will be abandoned on site due to non-payment of customs charges.
Your destination determines import thresholds and relative charges, as well as the contents and value of the consignment. You may need to pay these before you receive your order, or they may be charged to you at a later date. Fees of this nature are the receiver's responsibility, and Handcrafted Modern will not be liable for paying these charges under any circumstances.
If a consignment is determined to be undeliverable at destination due to refusal to pay import tax, multiple failed delivery attempts, or otherwise, the consignment will be abandoned at destination.
If the package is redirected back to the sender, the receiver will be charged any additional shipping fees before the final delivery is completed. Any refunds associated with such occurrences will be made less freight, customs, or import charges.
