Elise McLauchlan,
a UK-born furniture designer and woodturner, began her creative journey crafting imaginative, prop-driven window displays across the globe. After five years in fashion-focused design, she returned to
London to study furniture design at the Cass School of Art and Architecture, discovering a deep affinity for the lathe. Now based in
Montreal, Canadian Elise's studio focuses on contemporary woodworking, where she reimagines traditional woodturning techniques with a sculptural, modern touch. Renowned for her distinctive hand-turned bowls, vessels and other “occasionally sculptural, mainly functional” objects, Elise’s work embodies a refined balance of creativity and command of craft.
