Description
Futagami's signature Ihada texture creates a tactile solid brass cast handle giving you a comfortable grip. Embracing the natural imperfections of the design, it creates a connection between the user and craftsman.
The butter knife handle features a modified octagonal cross-section, inspired by palette knives used for oil paintings. The tip is thin and smooth to spread condiments with ease.

Timeless Brasswork from One of Japan’s Oldest Foundries
Founded in 1897 in Takaoka, Japan, FUTAGAMI began as a maker of traditional Buddhist altar fittings and has since evolved into one of the country’s most revered brass ateliers. Today, its artisans craft refined everyday objects — from spice spoons and trays to sterling silver-blade cutlery — using time-honoured sand-casting techniques.
Each piece is made to last for generations, designed to age gracefully and gather character over time. Rooted in tradition yet quietly modern, FUTAGAMI’s brassware brings depth, beauty, and a sense of ritual to the table — tools to be treasured and passed on.
