Description
Oscar Tusquets is an artist in the style of the Renaissance greats: his acclaimed career has spanned the fields of architecture—with the influential practice he founded in 1964, Studio Per—industrial design, painting, sculpture, and writing, always with a taste for the figurative and the humorous.
Replicating the style of sketchbook that Tusquets has favoured over the years, this book brings together a definitive collection of product sketches that date from the 1970s to the present day and provide an insight into Tusquets creative process, as well as his sense of artistry. These sketches form a historical record of work that has defined a whole era of Spanish design, starting in Barcelona’s Gauche Divine movement and drawing inspiration from the classical and the post-modern, filtered through his own unique imagery and personality.
Including nearly 200 sketches for some of his most iconic pieces, such as the Dali Lips sofa that he designed with Salvador Dalí in 1975 and the Various and Gaulino chairs, which feature among his best-selling products. It also features texts by Ross Lovegrove, Anna Puigjaner, Juli Capella, and Tusquets himself.

Honest interiors and stories that inspire how we live.
Apartamento is widely recognised as today’s most influential, inspiring, and honest interiors magazine. International, well-designed, well-written, and tastefully curated, it is an indispensable resource for individuals passionate about how they live.
Nacho Alegre, Omar Sosa, and Marco Velardi founded the magazine 2008 in Barcelona, Spain. It is published biannually from its headquarters.
The idea for Apartamento came from Alegre's experiences traveling across Europe as a photographer. He became interested in how people express themselves through their living spaces. Sharing a different perspective on how people live, consume and create, the beds they sleep in, the food they eat, the clothes in their closets and the music they play. A refreshingly honest and inspiring read, now accompanied by a covetable range of books that take a deeper look inside these people's homes.
