Description
Inspired by ancient Etruscan Bucchero ware, the Kylix stoneware bowl reinterprets a classical form with quiet refinement. With two sculptural handles and a gently curved profile, it sits comfortably in the hands—designed as much for daily use as for display.
A smooth, slightly burgundy-red mid-fired stoneware clay, finished with a clay based satin matte black glaze inspired by early burnished ware. Each piece is hand-thrown on the pottery wheel and stamped with a maker’s mark at the base.
Perfect for serving food, organizing everyday items, or as a decorative display piece, this bowl adds timeless sophistication to any setting.
Part of the exclusive Blackware collection, developed in collaboration with Dryburgh Pottery, alongside amphoras, pitchers, chalices, and more — a modern take on ancient pottery for your home.

Contemporary Ceramics Inspired by Nature and Architecture.
Kirsten Dryburgh is a seasoned ceramicist based in Aotearoa with over 25 years of experience spanning pottery, floristry, and sculpture. A graduate of Elam School of Fine Arts, she draws inspiration from classical design and urban architecture, reinterpreting traditional forms into contemporary, story-rich ceramics.
Working from her Grey Lynn studio, Kirsten uses locally sourced and imported stoneware clays, with glazes influenced by Auckland’s volcanic geology—incorporating natural elements like rocks, sand, and mineral-rich waters. Her pieces blend functional and sculptural forms, crafted through wheel throwing, press moulding, slab construction, and hand-building techniques.
Each work reflects Kirsten’s deep respect for materiality and the timeless beauty of handmade craft. Explore her collection for unique ceramics designed for everyday use and artistic display.
