Based in Pōneke, Wellington, New Zealand, designer and artist Bonnie Wroe hand knits a collection of hats using premium possum merino yarn. Produced in small batches, each piece reflects a shared appreciation for traditional hand knitting and considered design.
Lightweight, warm and naturally breathable, the possum merino blend combines fine merino wool with naturally hollow possum fibres that trap warmth without unnecessary bulk, creating a knit that is exceptionally light and comfortable to wear.
Each hat is individually hand knitted, resulting in subtle variations that are unique to the making process. Thoughtfully designed and carefully made, Bonnie Wroe's knitwear is intended to be worn often and appreciated for many seasons to come.
process Bonnie Wroe

Each hat is hand knitted by Bonnie Wroe in Pōneke, Wellington, in small batches.

Made from a possum merino blend, the naturally hollow fibres trap heat without bulk, creating a knit that is lighter than cashmere and warmer than wool.

Bonnie has developed each style to hold its shape, creating hats that sit comfortably on the head without flattening over time.
