Monmouth Glass Studio is a traditional glassblowing studio handcrafting beautiful objects for everyday use in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, honouring the beauty of handmade craftsmanship and a commitment to lasting design.

At the heart of the studio is a furnace holding 120 kilos of molten glass, kept at 1100 degrees Celsius around the clock, every day of the year. From this furnace, each piece is gathered by hand and shaped using traditional glassblowing techniques that date back hundreds of years, a process that is as much performance as it is craft.

Monmouth founder, Isaac Katzoff, brings a Fine Arts education and a deep knowledge of glass history to every piece he makes. A graduate of Southern Illinois University (BFA, 2001), Isaac has worked in established glass studios across the United States and New Zealand, and holds a postgraduate diploma in Art History from the University of Auckland, with a focus on the history of studio glassblowing in New Zealand. His personal and collaborative work is exhibited through Masterworks Gallery, Auckland.

Each Monmouth piece is individually mouth blown and handmade. Subtle variations in form and texture are not imperfections, they are the mark of the hand, and the signature of something genuinely made.
